TESTIMONIALS

**“The kids have been running non-stop throughout the vacation!
I believe they’ve grown a lot through various performances. Nanta isn’t music played alone—it’s an ensemble that requires many people to breathe in sync, so cooperation is essential. Instead of thinking ‘just my sound,’ they have to perform while considering the rhythm and balance of the entire team, and through this process, they learn the value of working with others.

Also, the experience of standing on stage and making loud drum sounds in front of an audience seems to give the kids confidence. Completing a performance gives them a sense of achievement and helps them see a positive image of themselves.

Since Nanta requires keeping precise beats and synchronized movements, discipline is truly important. The process of immersing themselves in the drumbeats while maintaining rhythm also helps improve concentration.

Moreover, because Nanta is a performing art developed from Korean traditional culture, it allows children growing up in immigrant communities or multicultural environments to feel a connection to their cultural roots. When they learn the art of their culture and present it on stage, they can develop identity and pride.

Lastly, striking the drums with energy really helps the kids relieve stress. The repetitive motions and rhythms provide physical exercise, which is also great for health and emotional stability.

Sometimes, it’s exhausting carrying the kids around, and there are moments when I feel like giving up, but for the sake of these wonderful opportunities for the kids—and especially for the children who truly love Nanta—I keep going! 🤩🤩🤩”**

The effort you put into teaching the children and guiding them to perform in front of many people is something they will never forget, even when they grow up.
Living in Canada, giving the kids opportunities to speak or perform in front of an audience builds their confidence and allows them to play freely on stage. Thanks to your guidance, how happy and proud they must feel!

Brother Hwaseon and Dojun, you are not simply teaching them how to play instruments—you are strengthening their hearts (overcoming fear or nervousness on stage) and giving them the courage to truly enjoy performing. You carefully pay attention to even the smallest practice habits and instill the belief that “you can do it.” Because of this, the children can stand tall without hesitation as proud sons and daughters of Korea, even here in Canada.

The sense of accomplishment and joy they feel after performing is a precious gift created by your dedication and passion. We express our deepest gratitude and respect to you for helping them stand confidently before many people.

Brother Hwaseon and Dojun, we know teaching the children takes great effort, but it’s truly admirable that you’re doing something that makes you younger at heart and fills you with pride. You are truly beloved by God!
