Learn More About us
Toronto HanBeat Nanta is a dynamic Korean drumming ensemble based in Toronto, made up of passionate members ranging in age from 6 to 70. The group has proudly performed at a variety of events, including school assemblies, cultural festivals, and even a halftime show for Toronto’s professional basketball team, the Raptors.
Rehearsals are held every Saturday from 12 PM to 4 PM and are divided into four levels: beginner, intermediate, performance, and advanced groups. Over the years, HanBeat Nanta has grown into a vibrant community of more than 50 members, bringing traditional Korean drumming (Nanta) to diverse audiences across the city.
As a volunteer-based organization, we do not charge lesson fees. While we offer our performances free of charge, we gratefully accept honorariums or donations, which help provide meals for our young performers. Anyone interested in learning Korean drumming or performing on stage is warmly welcome to join the team.
